Recently my Dad and I went to New Delhi and Rajasthan for a week on holiday. we went to all the usual tourist spots - the Taj, jaipur, Jodphur, and so forth. It made a change from life in Bangalore to spend so much time on the Indian tourist trail. You can forget that there is one when you are working in a country. There are certainly very few backpackers in Bangalore, except those on their way to Goa. I’ve done my fair share of backpacking, and I love it, but you do get a very different view of India when youu live here. Not surprising really :-)
